No Celerons above the PPGA 533's, Intel got greedy and doesnt want any one SMP'img there cheaper ship......
The PIII's will work, but Motherboard mod's are nessary, along with NEO adapters..........
DAM YOU INTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As of now, no has been able to run one or dual Tualatin CPU's on a BP6. If you want to run dual Pentium III CPU's, you will have to modify the mainboard. This is not for the faint of heart.TheBoss wrote:SO .... a question: Can I add two of these CPU's - 2 cpu's of same speed and brand of course:
2 x Celeron 1400MHz Tualatin In-A-Box (Socket 370 / 256KB / FSB 100MHz)
or
2 x Pentium III E 700MHz (Socket 370 / 256KB / FSB 100MHz)
Thanks!

PCI Voltage
Does the BP6 support PCI 3.3V, also specified as PCI 2.2 compliance or is it 5.0 v only?
Thanks ,

533 is max with no solder iron.zappa wrote:Right, I'm sure you buffs here wil already be cheesed by the questions I'm going to ask.....................but sod it, I'll ask anyway.
Is 533 the max for multiple processing, without reaching for the soldering iron?
How does a dual Celery 533 perform in comparison to a single 1100
Does XP Pro perform a bit / lots / or loads better when loaded with two CPU's?
Different posters will have different opinions about 1.1 .vs. dual 533. It will depend on what you want to run on your BP6. Personally, I think a SMP system has a more balanced respond with overall system performance compared to a single processor system.
what about when, like myself, multitask, and play games?
