Wifes New case ?

Not to fancy here just some thing I have been working on since Christmas.
The board is from a Video processing "farm" in Virginia was 2 366@550 ( replaced with 2 533@605. ver.1.1 board. Added two Thermaltake Golden Orbs and a thermaltake Blue Orb on the Chipset.
384meg of ram PC-100 (no-name)
DVD and CD-rom, 40 gig Western Digital HD running Windows XP pro, Creative SoundBlaster sound, Creative Graphics Blaster TNT II ultra, 10/100 Nic. This is patterned after my UnrealTournament Server, but that is where they split ways.
The case is ALL Acrylic, hand made cages, and back plates, even added a clear cover to the power supply

Has 3 clear fans with Blue LED's that I added to them (memo, buy them next time)the pictures I uploaded are really small, will replace with larger(more detailed) versions. (another memo, Remove side cover next time,and JPG's

)

Link works fine, Zenbog][, and it looks like you've done a fine job. Can't wait to see larger .jpgs.

Yes, larger pics would be nice. I like the Gold Orbs with the Blue Orb, nice mix.

Yes, I started with 60$ worth of quarter inch acrylic, bought one of those new Black and Decker hand routers

The slot cage was fun to build, I used a band saw to cut the filler strips, then glued them to a piece of half inch square acrylic. The back plate was a challenge, OH the filing I did on that thing

I started out going to build the case for my daughter, but I changed my mind when I got an e-mail from a guy who was selling a BP6 w/2 366@550 on ebay ( I lost the first bid) he asked if I would still want it, the other party never answered his e-mail and I answered within the hour he e-mailed

This project took longer than I wanted, but was FUN. Now it will be used as a UnrealTournament 2003 server, on my wife's Cable connection, and will serve as a DHCP server, and game server at our local LAN-Parties

can't wait to see the faces when we walk in with this case

I like the look of the ORB's also, I have one of the original twist lock ones on another PC 600@1140 (AOpen AX6BC) the only ones I could find were clip on, but they look great, moded them as per the pages here but quickly found out that I cut too much but they still work

I really don't like the Blue Orb it's a stick on and gets much to hot for my comfort, I am still looking for the Orange (golden) chipset orbs, I had a link to them some where but they are always out of stock

I will get the pictures converted from GIF to JPG soon and re-uploaded.

small up-date the power supply crapped out last night had to put in a back-up till I can get it Moded

going to add a clear fan with light to the outside, inside the case to help add more light between the drives and power supply ( the wifes Idea, she likes to see the ORB's also )

Yeah, they look good but the contact area is in no way flat. I had one stuck to my northbridge with the frag tape but it fell off. I lapped the BlOrb to a smooth finish and attached it to my GPU with Arctic Silver adhesive. I now have a GlobalWin LAC08 on the northbridge. It doesn't look as good as the orb but the push-pin holes line up.

Yeah, that's the major problem with the Blorb. I'm going to try to drill wider holes to align the push-pins.

Already planned, just have not decided on the size and quantity, this case is larger than a standard ATX case

We really want the guys at the local Lan-Parties to turn heads and WOW at this server,
when she (all 5'2") walks in with it

BTW, Derek how do I remove the small pictures from "My Gallery" ?

Right below the thumbnail of the picture there should be a "Delete" link, right beside "Edit".
