Sound blaster for 8 bit sound.
Paradise makes an 8 bit VGA card.
I have in my stock an 8 bit IDE adapter.
There is a Rockwell 2400baud modem.
Ok, I will quit being 'smartty' and ask what you want the ISA for.

There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.
No BP6s remaining
Athlon 2800
Sempron 2000
ViaCPU laptop with Vista.(Works great after bumping ram to 2Gig)
P-III 850@100

DUH, guess I shudda said "WHICH" card
!
I need an ISA NIC that will support WIN2K,
haven't been able to find such a beast.
Problem is if I use a PCI card then, because I have all but one PCI slot full:
AGP, FX5500
PCI 1, WinTV GO!
PCI 2, 10/100 NIC
PCI 3, Adaptec SCSII for scanner
PCI 4, Chaintek AV710 sound card
If I try to use PCI 5 for anything I get an IRQ conflict with 4 (PCI 4,5 & ISA 1 all share same IRQ).
Have tried every combination possible in PCI 1 thru 5 and no-go if cards in both 4 & 5.
Had to pull my Firewire card .
So would like to use ISA 2 for NIC if possible.

if you use a PnP card, you can change the IRQ being used from the control panel
and the (obvious) tricks if you need more IRQs
Com Ports off
LPT off
USB Irq off
also, disable the FDD.
PCI4&5, I think they should co-habitate a shared IRQ, like it can do in Windows....
but not if both cards do Bus-Master.
chapter 3.6 of the manual
sounds like a sort of master/slave IDE type thing.

All is well!
All is well! Got my 3com ISA NIC yesterday, plugged it into ISA 2 and BAM!!!, BP6 and WIN2K saw card right away.
Had to manually assign IRQ, re-boot and we are off and running.
I now have:
AGP. PNY GeForce FX5500 dual hd vid card
PCI 1. WinTV GO! card
PCI 2. Generic FireWire card
PCI 3. Adaptec SCSII card for X6EL scanner
PCI 4. Chaintek AV710 7.1 surround sound audio card
PCI 5. slot cooler fan
ISA 1. open (blocked by slot fan)
ISA 2. 3com 509B NIC
All are "getting along with each other" quite well in both 998SE and WIN2K, still running @ 594Mhz.
Am awaiting arrival of "new" 1100E PIII to complete up-grade.
With PIII up-grade I can do away with those nasty Delta's I installed!
If you are interested, go to my "picture gallary", posted a whole lot of "eye candy", PIII up-grades and Spire Whisper V installation w/80 mm Deltas plus pics of "home office" (yeah, its' a mess but I really do work out of there
).

Just as a personal note, I have beat the living h--l out of this mobo and it keeps coming back for more!
I have delt with several different dual cpu mobo's over the years and, yes, this is "old technology".
However, I have never seen a mobo as flexible as this guy is! And it keeps coming back for more!
This is most likely the "best learning tool" I have ever had!
That said, I still think it has a "place" even today.
My next venture with a BP6 will be in the format of a "dedicated home theater system" Re: Myth TV, etc.
