insane number of seti wu's

hey guys

i did a little test to see how much my lil ol BP6 could take

i got bored and ran my second setihide program (setihide runs multiple cmd line clients, can be run in the background, and you can run multiple setihide's but only one open at a time)

anyhow, i had a whopping 6 seti clients going at once

WOW! and here's the amazing thing

if you notice ther is a percentage per hour on a seti wu

running 2 clients i get about 6.5%/hr on avg

running 3 i get about 6.4%hr (this is per instance of crunching)

with 6 running i got an average of about 6.1%/hr for all 6 wu's

now tell me my BP6 can't take some hard running

only thing is, after about 4 days, win2K started to spaz out and if you opened a program you could no longer see the background (explorer.exe went PFFT)

anywho, just stating my newest accomplishment

if one takes you 15 hours -
running two will still take 15 cpu hours, but will take you 30 hours

so running more than the number of cpus you have
doesn't actually achieve anything

not necessarily

if i run one instance it only uses 1 CPU

if i run 2 it uses BOTH cpu's.. one fo each wu

Oh and BTW, im back running seti again

set it up again last night after hmm must be about 2 years break I think maybe a little less, due to being at uni with no net connection
