I bought this to try to upgrade but I must have one of those boards that won't work. Anyone interested.

Pretty cheap so any of you who need a bios here you go. also anything special I need to do ? or is it just a matter of pulling the old and puttin in the new? also they say it is flashed with ...

Damn...tried that and that did not work either....but I only tried the manual method...I did not try an autoexec.bat file...would that matter? 1st 14 sectors ot blocks are red which means write fail.

If I pull the chip from the board will that reset it? Any other ideas? or am I skirewed

OK did as instructed and I get a error in BIOS. it says warning

System was not new award bios version!
Please update ROM Bios first....

When I do it w/o the switches it flashes but it doesn't right to the 1st 10 or so boxes on the screen.

Am I Screwed? Do I need a new chip?

I am switching to a faster board and giving the BP6 to my Son....well in my hast I tried to flash the bios with a old disk I had and now I get a check sum error. I downloaded the RV bios and tried doing dereks fix but I am a DOS idiot and don't know how to make a autoexec.bat file that self executes...

Thanks all for the reply's....yea I got this card off ebay some time ago for like $70 so I am sure it must be a 3.3v...and note that MSI specifically says 3.3 will not work. So time to upgrade. I want to transfer all my VHS to DVD. The all in wonders s/b good for this eh? Why do they all say svideo ...

It does not work and their website says only a 1.5 will work...any other could damage the board. I am sure you are right hyperspace but I wish the websites for these videocards would specify.

I have a chaintech geforce 4 mx 440. Manual does not specify 3.3v or 1.5 v. What is newer? I think 1.5 volt cards. Does anyone know? It says 2x 4x compliant and works in my bp6 but won't work in an msi 845 pro II that calls for a 1.5 only. Are all newer cards 1.5v?

I lost my 2 harddrives and have always been able to download the software from onstream to get a restore done. Well they seem to have gone bankrupt and only have the old software that will not run on XP. Does anyone have the echo software.. the self extracting file from their website? Please say yes...

Another option is to do like I do and that is to have one drive for all data....you can point window's My Docs to that drive after the install....It will ask the question do you want to repalce...just say no. So your 1st step would be to creat a My Documents folder on a seperate drive and move all y...

yea I did that when I was trying the Tualatin-neo-lin lin combo but that did not work...no post no video....I guess I'll try it with this coppermine neo combo

OK finally some time...I just tried booting with my reliable set up..2 cele 400's while holding down the insert key and that did nothing.....Does that only work w/ no posting? This power leap and coppermine should work...I am getting pissed....maybe I got a bad CPU?

Yes both with both bios...normally the 1st thing I see is what I assume is the video card bios. then I usually get the bp6 bios screen. With new cpu I get nothing , no video bios etc. I just don't have a pci video card to eliminate that as the culprit but doesn't make sense to me that it would be .....

Kuun, I am pretty sure it is the 2nd version but I will confirm. Yoshihiro is the guy who successfully got a tualatin to work stacked on top of a Lin Lin and neo combo. Derek, Yea I have tried both of roby's bios for the PIII same results. Iwill try to confirm board revision...any other ideas Thanks...

no boot no beeps nothing...usually I see the video card (I assume bios screen) 1st but I do not even get that?

I have been trying to upgrade my CPU using Yoshihiro's method, Tualatin-Lin Lin-Neo. I get absolutely no post with this combo. I gave up and tried a Coppermine 1.0 in a powerleap neo. same results.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem?

Well just tried just a 1.0 coppermine with just powerleap and then just the lin lin. Same results no video so can't even get to bios screen. Yoshihiro, what video card are you using?

is that with no mb mods? Just the addition of the neo, 2 of them with 2 p3's

I might have one for sale if I can't get this to work. One of the earlier posts has a link I believe to a site that sells them
