ok tried it with different memory , took out a cpu and tried each in cpu skt 1. sometimes the comouter will lock while in the bios, sometimes when it comes up with some dma update sucess and then stalls. I transefered my bp6 to my daughters computer and for some reason now it just locks up at random times. Two 60gb drives possible?
Ive just bought a 2nd HD to fit in my system. thing is Bios recognizes it no problem but win2k doesnt give it a drive letter but it is shown in device manager.
Anyone have any ideas?

Ok replying to my own post as ive found this page

but it says i can make a bootable floppy without DrDos , well i aint got it and i aint paying for it so is there another way of getting the files onto a self booting floppy?

Bios flashing newbie
Hi all I've had some friends telling me its dead easy etc to flash my bios. Ive got a floppy with the latest bios RUHPT128 by roby and the files awdflash, abit fae and the bin file. My mate says it needs to be run from a dos prompt and files ive read say no command.com or autoexec.bak must be loaded...
